Sick!

This will be a quick post because im sick! My family left on tuesday and i started feeling sick that morning, little did i know it would turn into this! My nose is running, my throat hurts, my head hurts, i cant stop coughing. Im just glad it waited until my family was gone so i was able to enjoy my last few days with them. However i havent had the energy to clean the house since they left, which is a little messy from having so many people in it for 2 weeks. I havent been out of bed much in the last few days.

Please pray for our friends Brandon and Valerie. Valerie is 32 weeks pregnant with twins and was hospitalised on monday because both babies heart rates have dropped. I dont have all the details but we need to lift these people up in prayer!

Well im off, back to bed and to some dayquil with vitamin C.

My family is here!

Well they have been since last monday but i havent had time to breathe, much less get on the computer, since then. We have been soo busy.

Monday- we had to go to the airport twice...once to pick up nicks dad and once to pick up everyone else. they would have arrived about 10 minutes apart but my moms plane got delayed like 2 hours in denver.

Tuesday- we chilled...got some errands done and then spent a few hours on the beach.

Wednesday- we went to the dole pineapple plantation and then to the beach to snorkel but the waves were HUGE so we couldnt. me and katha decided we still wanted to swim even though the waves were taller than we were. bad idea.

Thursday- we went to sea life park and SWAM WITH A DOLPHIN. this was by far the coolest thing i have ever done. ill post pictures later!

Friday- my mom got married! and then we spent the rest of the afternoon at the polynesian culture center.

Saturday- everyone else went to the beach but i stayed home and cleaned up the house...its amazing how dirty it gets with 5 extra people staying in it.

Sunday- we went to the beach and then to eat at this amazing mexican restaurant and then we took nicks dad to the airport.

Monday- we went shopping and then took my moms friend to the airport. then we went to eat at bubba gumps shrimp.

Today- kevin and nick rented mopeds and are cruising down waikiki. matt and greg are hitting the museums. katha and my mom are shopping and i stayed home again to clean the house.

they will still be here another week! its insane, i have had atleast 5 extra people sleeping in my house for the last week. thank goodness katha and nick and his dad stayed in a hotel the first week.

anyway i better get back to cleaning! but first...congrats to my cousins Tobin and Shanna who just found out they are expecting their second child! I love you guys!

Happy Birthday Michelle! I love you!

We had a very productive day yesterday. We cleaned the house from top to bottom...bathtub, toilet, junk drawer (yes i have a junk drawer, dont judge me!), floors, EVERYTHING. I think we finally got all of the dog hair out of the house...of yeah, i didnt tell yall we got rid of the dog. I felt bad for him because we didnt have a backyard for him to play in and you could tell he was going out of his mind sitting in the house.

We stopped cleaning long enough to go to chilis for lunch. I have a new love...the bottomless express lunch. You get chips and salsa, soup and a salad for $11.99 and you get free refils on everything. It is so good. And it is a really good deal, each of these things alone would be over $6 a peice.

My family will be here on monday! Matt managed to got several days off, he only has to work 5 of the 15 days they will be here. So far we have plans to go to the polynesian culture center, deep sea fishing and swim with the dolphins at sea life park.

I got a new purse! We went to the navy exchange (kind of like the military mall)a few weeks ago and they were having a HUGE unadvertised sale! i got a $378 purse for $119. Score. Matt got a bicycle, id love to tell you about it, but i know nothing about bikes! He is really excited about it though.

Matt has been going to physical therapy for his ankle (he has a torn ligament) since it isnt really an imprtant ligament that is torn, they are trying not to do surgery. Matt and i both just wish they would do surgery and fix it for good so he isnt in pain anymore. Well yesterday he was at physical therapy and his ankle kept popping and they said if it was popping next time they were going to refer him to an orthopedic surgeon. We really hope they do...we dont want him in and out of physical therapy for the next 10 years just because they dont want to do sugery. Its a very minor surgery with a fairly quick recovery time.

He goes back on friday and then has a consultation with the doctor on monday, so we will see if they refer him to a surgeon.

Weird

matt is working nights this month so even on his days off we try to stay up at night and sleep during the day, just to keep his schedule pretty regular. so last night around 1am we decided to go to jack in the box. we got back around 1:15 and came inside and watched some movies and hung out. at 4:30am matt went outside to get in the car and go to PT...this is where things get weird.

he got in the car and everything from the glove box and the center console was sitting in the front seat and the passanger door was open. obviously someone broke into the car...but the camera and the GPS were sitting in the front seat with everything else. the only thing thats missing is matts ipod (which could have been taken, or could be lost in our house somewhere). who breaks into someones car and doesnt take anything?

the police came and fingerprinted the door and took pictures. they said the fingerprints were pretty small so it was most likely a kid. we still dont know how they got in the car, we ALWAYS lock the doors, but there was no pry marks or anything.

it kinda freaked me out...but atleast they didnt take anything (except maybe matts ipod, which someone gave him anyway).

Texas Stadium

Nicks dad (who works at texas stadium) just sent me pictures. it is so sad! the turf is gone and so are half of the chairs. some of my best highschool memories are in that staduim and i didnt get to say goodbye.


it makes me very sad.


i told him to save me a peice of concrete.

Matt and i have been married for a year tommorow!

Today is my brother-in-laws 17th birthday! Happy birthday trey! Sorry we couldnt be there to see you ride the saddle...send pictures!

Things have been pretty busy around here. Last weekend we went to the probowl. It was fun but nothing like what i expected. It never occured to me that they actually stop playing duriing the commercials. We took tons of pictures but they take to long to load on here so if you want to see them, give me your email address.

Matt has to work for half the day on valentines day :( and most of the day on tuesday (our 1 year anniversary). Im hoping they will let him leave a little early on our anniversary so we can atleast go to dinner or something.

My family will be here in 2 weeks! i am already starting to get the house cleaned...scrubbing the bathtub and toilets and things like that. we will only have 4 or 5 of them staying with us, but there will be 7 or 8 here total. its going to be pretty crazy. matt was able to get off work a few of the days they will be here so we can go do stuff with them.

gotta make dinner :)
